Gillian Schultze is a full time artist living and adventuring in Northern Ontario.  She uses a unique and captivating style of drawing or stitching and mixed media art that speaks to the beauty of the landscape she loves to explore.  Gillian has created over 200 works of art and exhibited in a number of solo and duo exhibitions.  She won the Emerging Artist of the Year in the 2020 Celebration of the Arts in Greater Sudbury, 1st place in the Laurentian University SciArt exhibition in both 2017 and 2019 and 1st place in the La Cloche Art Show in 2018.  Her work is shown in galleries in Northern and Southern Ontario.

Gillian has recently completed three large textile sculptures that will travel across Canada in an exhibit with Science North about Climate Change.  She has also created a 25 foot wide permanent installation at  Finlandia Village in Sudbury titled “Stitching Our Roots: A Community Process Textile Project.
